Terms & Conditions of Sale

Booking Process

A booking request is submitted through our website by selecting dates and providing your contact and payment details. This request is not a confirmed reservation.

Payment Authorization

When you submit a booking request, your card is authorized for the total amount of the stay. No funds are captured at this stage.

Your payment method is only charged once your booking request has been reviewed and confirmed by the owner, typically within 24 to 48 hours.

If Your Request Is Declined

If the owner is unable to confirm your requested dates, the payment authorization is released and no charge is made to your card.

Cancellation Policy

Bookings are non-refundable by default once confirmed by the owner. We recommend reviewing your travel dates carefully before submitting a booking request.

If you need to cancel, you may submit a refund request in writing to villaserenacharm@gmail.com. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the owner's discretion, taking into account factors such as the notice given and the ability to re-book the dates. Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund.

Seller Identification

Villa Serena is operated by Ayman Boussalem (Entreprise Individuelle), SIRET 989 960 109 00019, based at 3 Rue Furstenberger, 68200 Mulhouse, France. Full identification details are available in our Legal Notice.

Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, accommodation services provided on a specific date or during a specific period are excluded from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal applicable to distance contracts. Consequently, once a booking is confirmed, the Cancellation Policy above applies in place of any statutory withdrawal right.

Cancellation by the Owner

In the rare event that a confirmed booking must be cancelled by the owner (including but not limited to double-booking or force majeure), the guest will be notified as soon as possible and will receive a full refund of any amount charged. The owner's liability is limited to this refund and does not extend to any other costs incurred by the guest (e.g. flights, other travel arrangements).

Consumer Mediation

In accordance with Article L616-1 of the French Consumer Code, in the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved directly with us, you may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator: CM2C (Centre de Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice), 14 rue Saint Jean, 75017 Paris, reachable at www.cm2c.net.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions of Sale are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and after attempting mediation, the French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules applicable in your country of residence.
